Great for thick hair

I love this slick back cream! It works so well for my thick and course hair. I typically have trouble with getting the perfect slick back, due to having so much hair. I have had zero issues with this product. I also love that the smell isn’t too intense, as well. I definitely recommend this product!

Great for Frizz Control, Softer Hold for Everyday

I recently tried the L’Oréal Paris Elnett Slick Back Cream, and overall I’m impressed! The texture is lightweight and smooth, making it super easy to work through my hair without leaving it greasy or sticky. It does a great job at taming frizz and flyaways while giving my styles a polished, shiny finish. I also love that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy or stiff—I can still brush through it if I need to restyle.
The fragrance is pleasant, a soft floral-fruity scent, and it washes out easily without a heavy buildup. I’ve used it on both damp and dry hair, and it works well either way.
The only downside for me is that the hold isn’t quite strong enough for thicker or textured hair. On humid days or when I want a really sleek, long-lasting look, I need to layer it with hairspray for extra support.
✨ Final thoughts: This cream is perfect for everyday slick styles, frizz control, and softer looks. If your hair is fine to medium, it should work beautifully on its own. For thicker or curly textures, it makes a great base product but might need a little backup.

Lotion consistency

Nothing too crazy regarding the packaging. The product didn’t have too strong of a smell. It’s a whitish color and lotion like consistency. It apply nicely.

Perfect for Flyaways!

I received this slick back cream and I put it to work on my sisters hair! She has thick, shiny straight hair, and for her she said it worked pretty well. She said it was something you can reach for in a pinch, especially because she prefers a slicked back pony! As for me, I have naturally thin and wavy hair, so it’s hard to fight the frizziness that comes so naturally to me! But it seems from the way it worked on my sister that it would work to keep little flyaways down! If you normally have pretty straight hair, or hair that doesn’t curl with a little moisture, this product may be for you!

Pros: 1. It works! 2. Your hairs stays sof rather than stif like with a strong hold gel 3. The scent is pleasant 4. It’s easy to use.
Cons: For me it wasn’t as slicked back as I would like, in general I like the look with gel better, even if it’s harder to wash & get out of your hair.

Decent product

This product has clean and simple packaging, Iove the colors. This holds my coarse hair in place without it feeling stiff or crunchy, and without it looking greasy or wet. It's lightweight and smells amazing. This cream couldn't, however, keep up with my busy lifestyle but did manage to prevent my hair from humidity and frizzy. It also had a greasy feel after wearing several hours.

Makes my hair too crunchy

I only used this a cpl times. The hold, believe it or not, is too intense for my thin fine hair and it makes it crunchy. Not something I would use in a daily basis. If your looking foe a strong hold cream then this is for you.

I love this product! I am 11 months postpartum and the hair loss was bad. It's now growing back in and I have been dealing with the "baby" hairs that will not stay down. The L'Oréal Slick back cream has saved me! I can do hairstyles that I haven't been able to in a long time. It keeps the flyaways at bay and I'm able to use it without any drying. It doesn't leave a residue and it truly keeps them down. Bonus! It smells amazing! I highly recommend to anyone looking to keep those baby hairs down

Didn’t touch my frizz

I had my hopes up a bit for L’Oreal’s Elnett Slickback Cream but unfortunately it just straight up did not work for my hair. I used as directed, on damp hair, brushed through, I even tried adding more. But the result is just as frizzy as my normal hair. I will say it smells pleasant and doesn’t leave a gross or noticeable product texture for which I am thankful but I will not bother using this again.

It’s ok, but probably not a repurchase

The good things: soft hold, doesn’t flake or leave any residue, isn’t stiff or sticky.
The not so good things: it doesn’t really have the holding power that I need for when I want to achieve a slicked back look. I have long, thick hair and if I’m trying to do a slicked back hairstyle this just isn’t strong enough to hold anything in place, feels more like a leave in conditioner. I feel like this would work best on people with fine or thin hair.

This product I’m very neutral on it worked. I have very wavy hair so I was able to make my hair lay down and it looked good but for only about two hours and then my little girl started popping out my wax stick works better.

This came in the perfect time for cheer season. This worked well to do the slick backs my daughter had to do. It smelt so good, and the package made it easy to use. It's an afforable drug store product, so it's worth the money. Wish it had a slightly longer hold time, but other than that, it's a great product.

I liked that this cream did not make my hair look greasy. It was not overly sticky or heavy on my hair. It had a nice smell to it. It did hold my hair for an entire day and kept the frizz at bay.

More Like a Leave-in Conditioner

The styling cream has the consistency of a leave-in conditioner, which is great because it doesn't have a tacky feel. The scent is pleasant and reminiscent of other hair products, and the tube the cream comes in is a standard tube.
The product is said to help slick hair back while maintaining flexible hold. I did find the cream kept my hair soft and manageable, and it didn't leave any residue like hairspray or gel, which was a plus. What was disappointing, however, was it really didn't keep my fly-aways in place, and I ended up having to use another product to achieve that result.
All in all, I would say this reminds me more of a leave-in conditioner than it does a styling product. I would've really liked to have used this as an alternative to hairspray with flexible hold, but for now, I will have to pass.

Wow! I am absolutely in love with this new slickback cream. The texture is perfect. It is not to sticky, does not dry down to hard or make your hair have that soaking wet look. It holds perfectly and makes your hair somehow look so healthy while having it slicked back. I love the bottle and gold and black, such sheek packaging and holds on to so much product for such a reasonable price. If you haven't tried this yet and have tried so many like me, so your hair doesn't look greasy and wet. Go get this, it will be your new best friend!!

Does what it should do

Good. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I used it on the hair above my ears and under my glasses . It always bunches up there and I have keep fixing it. When I used this, it kept the hair in place. I would recommend this product.

I was given this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. The bun is back baby! When I'm not in the mood to waste an hour after my shoeing blowing out my hair. I would do just a one rubber band messy bun. Potentially, like in this picture, a neater version. A slicked back cute little donut bun. So easy saves time. I forgot how much I like my hair up cause It's been straightened and down since last summer. This one product was all I needed. To make it look like a nice hairstyle that I spent more than 3 minutes on. After my hair is like 50% dry I applied less than a quarter size amount to my hair, brushed it through. Twist the bun. Simple easy, not great. It's made for a fast, cute hairstyle.

I will not be purchasing this item again. It was ineffective and made my hair looked greasy. It did smell nice and had a good consistency so it wasn’t sticky, but was not compatible with my 2a hair type.
