Idk why people are complaining about the smell. It is there but it is not strong enough to spell past a few minutes. This stuff has me glowing and is great for black women/men with oily skin. I wash with Cerave gentle cleaner, good molecules niacinamide toner, this, the LP spf. I do have to blot my face because it’s oily, but this is the perfect amount of stick and only one drop is enough.

Came oxidized

Bought from the store on Monday the 26th. It was already oxidized, yellow. The store itself I bought it from just opened on the 21, so it shouldn't have old product on shelf at this point.

Strong fragrance

This Vitamin C & E Serum is absorbed into the skin well and does not leave your skin feeling greasy. However, it has a STRONG baby powder perfume smell that made my eyes sting even though I kept it at least 2 inches away from my eyes. Also, I could smell it on my face the whole day, so I was breathing in that chemical fragrance all day! I can't speak to its longterm result, because after 1 day of breathing in that smell I tossed the product. Wish they made a fragrance free version as I don't mind the natural smell.

Poor performance

This product was very good at two things. It made my face break out and left my pillowcase significantly stained orange and brown. I would like a refund for the product and my pillowcase.

Will buy again, but packaging could be much better

This product is AMAZING. It does exactly what it says it does, with consistent use over time. I use 2-3 drops over my entire face and neck am and pm. You may be put off by a couple of things... the scent: it's nice, light, and doesn't last, but scent can be irritating and off putting for some. The dropper: this hands down is the reason why I can't give this incredible, multipurpose product 5 stars. The dropper is awful, and due to the nature of vitamin C, the constant exposure to air causes the vit. C to degrade much more quickly lessening its effectiveness (you'll notice it turns yellow/orange). They would be better off to put this product in a pump preventing vitamin C loss. I'm on my 3ed or 4th bottle, mid 40s, somewhat oily skin. It really works. This is the absolute base product of my skin care routine outside of prescription trentinoin.

I would not recommend

I used half a bottle. I loved it at first. It was light on the skin and light in color. Now the serum is orange and it is very sticky. On my face it is also sticky. I do not want to apply it. For the price and only getting to use half a bottle it is not worth it. I have always gotten good results with Loreal skin care products. I am sad this has happened.

The scent is terrible!

I just bought this product and used it for the first time. Unfortunately, I will be returning it. The scent is awful! Why can’t facial products be unscented. I was looking forward to experiencing the wonderful results I’ve read in other reviews…but I can’t get past the smell!

I'm from Sri Lanka I switched to this product after hearing good things, but I'm disappointed. My skin was clear before, but now I have small bumps. I followed all the instructions and didn’t change my routine, so I’m unsure why this product isn't working for me. The product claims to improve skin, but it's doing the opposite for me. Despite following the instructions exactly, it’s just not working as advertised
Given the high cost, I expected better results. Can you explain why I might be having this reaction? Normally, your products are great, but this one isn't working for me. I hope to find a solution soon.

Discoloration

I have used the Vitamin C in the tube past year or so then switched to this one with the dropper. I was upset to see an organish yellow color with dark brown on the bottle top. It is awful as I never had this problem before. I got it from Amazon and just posted my experience. I am surprised to see here a lot of people have experienced this.

I’ve used the vitamin c serum with ferulic acid and salicylic acid for a month now and my face has never looked this good. Hands down my favorite everyday serum and it’s affordable! I’m almost at the end of this bottle but will be repurchasing. This worked better on my skin than the most expensive one, the skinceuticals C E Ferulic acid serum. Thank you L’Oréal for making products that everyone can afford while maintaining high formulation standards.

I really wanted to love this one, I use the Revitalift derm intensives at 10% vitamin c. That was out of stock so I tried this one ! Should be better, vitamin C is at 12% now right? Boy was I wrong! This one leaves a film over my skin that seems to roll off as I rub it. It also made me break out a lot I returned it and went back to my Revitalift!!

I requested a sample of this serum to try since I have sensitive skin and worry about using some products and having burning or itching. I was happy surprised how much I liked this. It wasn't sticky and wore well under foundation or powder. I had no reaction or sensitivity to the serum. It had a very minimal, clean scent. I plan to buy this product. #GiftedbyLorealParis

Bought it and it was orange straight out the pack

I bought this from Target and it was orange. I used it all and bought more. The new bottle has clear liquid. From the reviews I see it should've never been orange. I'm so confused and kind of disappointed. I get that the first bottle was oxidized but it was never clear and it was my first time using it. I'm scared to use the new bottle

I bought this product from Walmart. When I opened the product it was already an orange shade. I have used other vitamin C products and the color was not orange. I have used for a many months and have noticed the smell especially in the evening when I would put my hands to my face my hands smelled. The orange color always bothered me and now wondering if it is turning me an orangish color. Not entirely happy with all of this. Just not sure if this is normal - orange color and smell.

Oxidized fast

The serum turns orange, which means it oxidized and lots its effectiveness, half way through the bottle. I bought it a second time thinking it was perhaps an unstable batch but same thing happen. Don’t waste your money in it.

Smells gross and turns hands orange

This stuff smells weird coming out of the bottle and then all day long I can smell it permeating off me like I just got done with a tanning session. And after just a few days of using, it turned my palms orange.
Don’t like the smell and I don’t like the orange. I only gave it two stars because I didn’t have enough time to see any affects and I don’t want to keep doing this to my hands and I don’t want to keep smelling this way.

Just started using….but the smell is quite off-putting! And it does not fade away as it dries, only intensifies as your skin warms the product.

I admit right away that I only have a miniature, but since the tool is used very sparingly, it lasted me 10 days. And during this time, you can already form an opinion. I used it as a 2in1 serum + cream. That is, after applying the concentrate, I did not apply the cream additionally, because I felt that the cream would already be superfluous.
I would like to separately note the pleasant warming effect after application. At the first application, I was a little scared, I thought that maybe it was an allergic reaction. And this moment should not be excluded, because earlier I mentioned the high content of ascorbic acid. But no, everything worked out, and the warmth is not accompanied by reddening of the skin. The concentrate absorbs very quickly. I am satisfied with the result. Skin, as if I drank a course of vitamins.

What's With the Fragrance?

I wanted to try out this serum, so I bought it at Walgreens. Made my skin dewy and bright. The problem is that the serum has fragrance. It's good, but I wish it were fragrance free.

Chemical fragrance

The chemical fragrance made me feel like I was choking. I couldn’t use it. These complex, chemical fragrances are not good for us. I wish the big corporations would stop using them.
