Mizpah Brown-Rich is the CEO and Co-Founder of Joshua’s Gift, Inc., a nonprofit organization inspired by her beloved son, Joshua, driven by a mission to foster inclusion, connection, and support for families affected by autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD).
Founded in 2017, Joshua’s Gift was established to create meaningful social opportunities, reduce isolation, and provide tangible support for families navigating the complexities of autism. Through her leadership, the foundation has grown to offer not only funding and resources but also community-based programs that bring families together in safe, joyful, and inclusive spaces.
Mizpah created the social justice initiative CODE JOSHUA, a groundbreaking safety alert system and training program designed to educate and equip first responders to better recognize and respond to individuals with autism and IDD. CODE JOSHUA reflects Mizpah’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring that individuals with autism are not only understood but treated with dignity and care during emergencies.
Through Joshua’s Gift, Mizpah continues to advocate for equity, awareness, and system-level change that honors the humanity of her son and every person, regardless of ability.
