She founded the organization in 2020 with nothing more than a LinkedIn post and a simple belief: talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not.
As a first-generation technologist, Chanel recognized that social, economic, and geographic barriers too often determine who has access to careers in technology, so she built Mentor Me Collective to change that reality.
Through technical education, mentorship, real-world project experience, and industry validation, the organization equips aspiring professionals with the skills and experience to build meaningful careers based on their capabilities rather than their circumstances.
What began as a personal mentorship effort has grown into a global institution serving more than 40,000 members across 120+ countries.
Today, Mentor Me Collective receives more than 25,000 applications annually and has supported 927 Scholar placements, including 753 six-figure career outcomes, generating more than $75.3 million+ in estimated financial impact for its community.
Mentor Me Collective is a Google Cloud Learning Partner and Grow with Google Learning Partner, was recognized as Google's Partner of the Month in April 2025, and was recently featured by Google for Nonprofits as an organization inspiring positive change through technology.
Recognized as a 2025 Woman of Impact by Women Impact Tech and featured on the Nasdaq Tower for expanding access to technology careers, Chanel continues to lead the organization's vision, strategy, and global growth.
