WOW! Obsessed! Salon Quality Gray Coverage

As a dark brunette who has been needing to cover her grays since 16 years old, I could not wait to try this! Going to the salon every 3 weeks can be tiresome and needless to say, expensive! So I jumped on the at home hair color train years and years ago. I buy pro color and developer on Amazon, measure everything, mix it up and then spend close to 2 hours from start to finish applying, processing and rinsing.. Doing this every 3 weeks has also been tiresome and most times, I don't have the time!! So when Colorsonic was introduced I knew I had to try it. From the moment I started application to the time I fully rinsed, it was only 35 minutes!!!
The device was super simple to prime and get started. Then, all you do is literally brush your roots... Transparently was a tiny bit skeptical about the saturation of color and if it truly saturated my roots like I do when I paint my roots... But I was proven wrong, my roots were saturated!! It looked like I painted my roots myself. After application, the device showed I still had a 3/4 full cartridge!
I could go on and on about this device, the process and how simple and efficient it has made my at home hair color. I am truly blown away and so thankful to have found something that makes my busy life that much more simple! Gone are the days that you will see any grays in my hair line and that makes me, a super self conscious about my grays at the age of 36, so happy!!!
This is a must buy, must try device and coloring system. Cannot recommend enough!!

Cartridge is not multi-use?

Is there ANYONE out there that has re-used a cartridge? I have used 3 cartridges now for root touch-up. When I insert the (used) cartridge, the device tells me that the cartridge is more than half full. But when I start it, only the white developer comes out, no color. Same thing happened 3 times with 3 different cartridges, However, if I use a NEW, UNUSED cartridge, it works like it should. Not sure if the level indicator lights don‘t work as described, or the color dries up once seal is opened. Anyone else having this issue?
Also I have spent a long time on the phone with customer service. I got variable answers that did not help.

The color never mixed so I only had developer on my hair. It ran out before my head was covered i guess because only half was being used. I cut it open and all the liquid color ran into the sink. I used the gloves and salvaged as much as I could. Not a great experience!

Great innovative product

Such a cool product! Easy to use. Got my roots very easily without making a huge mess. I’m not sure I’d use this every time as it is a bit of a process but overall a great product!

This product was good. Took a minute to learn to use it but once I did it went smooth. I love the it gives you multiple piece to choose what way you'd like to do your hair. I also enjoyed that it came with a cartridge for easy cleanup.

This seems like it would be better for touch ups than overall hair coloring. If working with a full head of hair it would apply unevenly. I’d only use it to touch up grow out at the roots or if you have greys. It’s also pretty much just box dye, so beware of messing up your salon color.

Perfrct coverage. Isn't drying my hair out. It rinse out very nicely. And so much more clean to after. I love it will definitely continue to use cant wait to try more colers.

It came damaged

I am unable to use it because it came damaged. It’s not working I tried everything to fix it but couldn’t make it work. I saw the tutorial follow manual but when the machine itself is broken nothing can work. So disappointed

Not a complete fan of this! It is not a good value for the cost! Waste a lot of product and the machine and color itself are expensive and it doesn’t thoroughly get your roots. Very tine consuming’

After a bit of trial and error, I was able to use the Colorsonic Hair Color Device. I have thin, fine hair but I found that occasionally the device would snag on my hair. I cannot imagine using it on hair with any sort of texture or body. It smelled like sulfur with the ammonia smell of hair dye. It did cover my grays but as you can see, it didn’t cover all of it and I dyed it twice. It was easy to clean. For the price of the machine and the cost of the dye, I wouldn’t recommend this. It was okay, but I felt it was best for a last minute root touchup and honestly for just that it’s not worth it. I didn’t feel like it was a good all over dye job, which is what I was looking for. It did cut down on time when dying hair, but it wasn’t worth it. I also found it extremely messy compared to regular box dye.

When I turn on colorsonic the battery light is green and fully charges. Once I put the cartridge in the battery light goes off and the machine does not work

If the water dispenses the device works. After that re-insert the cartridge, be sure to listen for it to click. That sound verifies that it is inserted correctly.

Why won’t my partially used cartridge work? The device is charged, cleaned, turns on, shows battery and then the white lights just endlessly light up - up and down - until it turns off.
