I first tried the l'oreal "ever" line back when it first came out 4-5 years ago and found it to be some of the worst shampoo & conditioner I have ever used. Recently I tried the new oleo line and really like it, and so I though i would give a few more of the "ever" products a try. Which lead me to this shampoo and conditioner. I was pleasantly surprised by the shampoo, it was creamy and lathered well, a little went a super long way, and it left my hair soft and clean but not stripped. Then I applied this conditioner and everything went south.
As soon as I started applying this I knew I had made a mistake. It felt just like the last time I had used this product, it barely detangled and I was pulling hair out left and right trying to work this through to my ends. It also didn't moisturize, my hair felt dry and almost crispy while this was still on it. I left it on for a minute and still couldn't get my fingers through my hair and then applied some of my trusty l'oreal total repair 5 condition to at least detangle. Once I rinsed it all out and start combing I noticed how tangled my hair was. When I dried my hair the dreaded static started, which is exactly what happened to me years ago when i tried this line. I ended up having to use some of my SO's smooth balm to tame the static, which took care of about 70% but still, there was plenty of static left. In fact, the static lasted through the next day's wash, and I ended up having to clarify and deep condition my hair to get rid of the lasting effects of this stuff.
Needless to say I will not be repurchasing, I don't even know what to do with my 1x used bottle as this is so horrible I never want to use it again. Years ago when I tried this line I tossed 4 new bottles in the garbage after the first week (cause I couldn't find my receipt), which is probably what's going to happen to this conditioner too. I don't know how they manage to make this conditioner so horrible, really, it's like they're trying to make the worst conditioner on earth, and they succeeded.

HAIR LOSS - DO NOT PURCHASE

Devastated, used it for a little over three months. This shampoo and conditioner has caused me hair loss. I have sores all over my scalp as well, that are beyond itchy to the point it has affected my daily life. Not only physically, but has caused a toll on me mentally and emotionally. Contacted L’Oréal in hopes they’d do something, yet was told my case will be escalated but still haven’t heard back. Very frustrated with how the company handled this. It now will be escalated on my behalf if I don’t hear back sooner.
Not only did I have a negative affect, my good friend has as well from the same exact shampoo line.
Please reconsider before purchasing. My hair is something so important to me, as it is for most and I don’t want this to be you.

Barely any fall out

This conditioner makes my hair so soft and I notice that I do not get as much fall out when I use it. It is tremendous! I can tell that my hair is really loving it from the new growth and the lack of hair in the drain!!!

Great for thin oily hair

I have always had oily scalp and thin hair. This product gives me volume. I have to switch to a different shampoo occasionally then switch back to get the same effects. ALso I wish this product came in a 3 oz travel size so I can take it on my carry on bag.

My favorite for quite a while

I love the smell it leaves in my hair, so clean and pleasant. It gives my thin, flat hair wonderfull volume. Unfortunately it is becoming harder to find, what with all the newer L'Oreal Hair products available, so please don't discontinue this great line.

Best Conditioner for Fine Hair

In my teenage years I was a consumer of L’Oréal Ultra Rich Beauty Formula Conditioner. After the product disappeared from the market, I switched to a competitor’s product. Recently, I have become dissatisfied with the shampoo and conditioner I have been using so I decided to peruse the hair care products on the L’Oréal website. Upon completing my perusal, I went to the nearest store to look at the hair care products. In the end, I selected L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Conditioner.
L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Conditioner contains rosemary leaf, jasmine, and juniper berry to gently clean the scalp by removing build-up and excess oil, so your hair is stronger and thicker looking. The conditioner is free of harsh sulfates, salts, or surfactants. When using the conditioner keep in mind a little goes a long way. The conditioner is rich and luxurious with a pleasant mild scent. Your hair is left protected without it being weighed down.

I wanted to like this shampoo and conditioner. I generally love L'Oreal products. The shampoo is ok, not lovely but the conditioner has an aroma of very strong, harsh soap.

Favorite shampoo+conditioner of all time

This is by far the best drugstore shampoo+conditioner I’ve ever used. I have tried other versions from L’Oréal’s Ever line of products but these consistently give me the best results: thicker, shinier, healthier feeling hair with weight but no weigh down, and leaves all of my scalp and hair feeling clean and balanced. I have med-long length fine hair but enough of it, and other products even from this line leave me with dryer ends and an oilier base. I love the smell of this one too because it’s extra herby/botanical compared to the others. Please don’t change a thing, and please please--never discontinue!!

I bought the conditioner and shampoo. The products did give me thicker texture so to that part I loved it! However, they also left my hair very dull and dry. I had to cut a good 3-4 inches off just after just having a haircut. I tried to condition it back to healthy for a week prior to having this second haircut. There were no "dead ends" or splits.

A reason I've been using this line for years!

I've been using the L'Oréal EverStrong Thickening Conditioner (along with the shampoo) for five years now, since 2012. I started using when I had hair down to my waist, stuck with it when I got it chopped off to my shoulders in 2013, and I still use it now in the beginning of 2018, with my hair passed my waist again.
This conditioner contains rosemary oil and peppermint extract, which are often used as a natural remedy to stimulate the scalp to promote hair growth. It's super lightweight and won't weigh down fine hair, yet still leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth. I don't color treat my hair, so I cannot speak on how safe it is for color-treated hair, but this line is definitely gentle enough to be used on a daily basis.

I wanted just the shampoo but the store only had the conditioner. I was prepared for limp, shiny hair. Not so. It looks so healthy and it hold the curl now. I was shocked! Today I found the shampoo, so will try both products together.

This is my absolute favorite conditioner. It makes my hair silky, gives it volume, and makes my curls looks beautiful. I've tried other "thickening" conditioners and they don't work nearly as well as this conditioner. This is so hydrating, softening, and strengthening. The rosemary smell is a bonus, and rosemary is also supposed to be good for stimulating hair growth. I'm never gonna stop using this conditioner.

I bought this product because I had a coupon and wanted to try it. Anything with Rosemary piques my interest. I needed a good scalp cleanser that also wouldn't strip my natural hair.
Well, I like it so far. But I was expecting a more aromatic Rosemary experience.
The packaging is not the best. There are a lot of visible creases from squeezing out shampoo. And product residue makes it harder to snap close.
Without coupon, I doubt I would purchase at that price.

I have a dry hair and this conditioner is the perfect choice made. The scent is refreshing. It does suit all of the weather conditions so we need not worry about the outside environment.

I have experienced severe hair loss for 3 years, diagnosed with scarring Alopecia. I tried many hair products with disappointing results until I tried L'Oreal Everstrong Thickening Shampoo and conditioner. My hair instantly felt much thicker, luxurious and manageable, even appearing to minimize hair loss. It was also sulfate free. Problem is, I cannot find it anymore in my local stores and fear it has been discontinued. If L'Oreal would market this product aggressively to the millions of women and men with my problem, I know it would be a win-win for the manufacturer and consumer. It would also be wise to contact the organizations and forums of sufferers who connect desperately trying to find solutions.

UNBELIEVABLE! I used to lose hair like CRAZY! It would come out in handfuls, clog drains, constantly cleaning out brushes. I can't tell you the last time I have had either happen. My hair ISN'T FALLING OUT anymore!!!! You must try this. I also love the SCENT and texture!

Yup, this conditioner makes my hair look and feel thicker. I am in my mid 50's and have lived with thin fine hair all my life. The only negative I can give this product is the smell. It is not very appealing and maybe it has to be that way to work. But I am willing to overlook the smell to have thicker fuller looking hair without having to add tons of extra product! I have been using this conditioner for about 3 weeks and have received several questions asking what I am doing different to my hair and then being told it looks great! I also use the shampoo and tonic. The price is reasonable compared to product from salons. Thanks L'Oreal

I would love to use this product since it is supposed to help with thin hair. However, after I purchased it and used it only once, I decided to returned back to the store because it smells like a men perfume.
I am a woman and I do not like my hair to have a men perfume scent in my hair.
I wonder if that smell can be changed.
If this product would have the smell that the EverCurl™ Hydracharge Conditioner has, or even the smell on EverCrème Sulfate-Free Moisture System™ Intense Nourishing Conditioner, then this review would be very different.

I have hard water and long hair. It's also color treated. This product does not strip the color out of my hair, strengthens it and builds volume. I love it! I don't use anything else. Sulfate free is the way to go.

I have curly but fine hair, which equals dryness, breakage and frizz. This is the best conditioner EVER! My hair is stronger, thicker and glossier. PLEASE do not discontinue this product!! Finding great hair products is like finding a needle in a haystack! I even bought extra 2 bottles!

Like the previous reviewer said, it worked from the very first shampoo. I used the shampoo and the thickening spray. My favorite product was discotinued several years ago, this is the first replacement I have found and it works much better...my hair feels thick and lush again. LOVE THIS PRODUCT, PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE!!!!!!

Works from the first wash, conditioner, and spray.

I am hypothyroid which means thin weak hair that breaks and falls out a bunch daily. This conditioner made my hair smooth, shiny, and it feels thick. The scent is so refreshing especially winter time it wakes my scalp up. Less hair fall out which was a plus too.
