Didn’t work for me

I finally found this and bought the last 2 jars. It does go on white and stays white for a long time. Today is 03/12/26 I bought my 2 jars and have used it faithfully every day starting on 12/21/25. To this date, not one of my 4 spots have even begun to fade. Very disappointing after spending $50 on a name brand I have bought and used for almost all of my adult life. Will not be recommending it.

Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Failure

It leaves an illuminating white color on my face and it doesn’t even nor correct spots. I can’t get my money back because I opened and used it. L’Oreal products are expensive.

I am 50 years old and I have never found a product that has worked so well on my skin. It leaves my skin looking so smooth with a creamy tint I love!!! It is the best product Ive ever used that actually fades my dark spots. I wear light makeup and with this product, I can use no foundation with just mascara and lip gloss. It’s amazing!!!!

This is a wonderful face cream. Doesn't really seem to do much for dark spots, but nothing that I've used does, so this isn't a surprise. Use it daily, it's SPF 30 and it's not greasy. Search for best price online.

I find this day cream (SPF 30) works well and looks good and feels great. Ordinarily, I use only unscented products but I absolutely love the scent of this. It's an excellent price for a quality product.

Moisturizes and Protects

Love this product for great moisturizing and it actually does fade dark spots and even out skin tone. I love that is has a sunscreen but still goes on silky smooth. I let it absorb and then apply foundation. If I'm going out in the sun I apply it again for extra protection. Gives a smooth and luminous glow to the skin.

This is magic in a bottle!! Lately, I can’t find this moisturizer anywhere around me so I have had to order it online. I’m afraid that L’Oréal is going to discontinue this product, so this is why I am writing a review. I also think it’s important to mention that this is the very first review I have ever made on any product. Over the years, I have tried so many moisturizers, including many expensive brands, but this is my favorite by far. I have normal to dry skin and this lotion lightly moisturizes my face without leaving that heavy creamy or oily feeling behind. The product just sinks into my skin. But the best thing about this moisturizer is that it has an illuminating tint to it, so I am able to start with a healthy, youthful glow on my face before I even apply my makeup. When I ran out of this product and had to use another moisturizer, my skin looked so dull and lifeless. Also, when I don’t feel like applying full make-up to run to the store, I will only put on this moisturizer, some mascara, and lip gloss and I’m good to go. Highly recommend this product!!!

Love the texture, the spf protection, but I don’t like that it comes off in tiny rolls when I apply foundation!!!
Very dissatisfied because I would like to be able to use it daily to go to work and I can’t!!

At times, if this moisturizer is layered under or over another skincare/makeup product that has not fully absorbed into skin, it can cause the moisturizer to ball up or “pill”. To help avoid this, we recommend allowing the products you apply in your skincare routine to fully dry and absorb into skin until it feels dry to the touch before beginning your makeup routine. Nice moisturizer with a bit of shimmer

One of my favorite day creams of all time. I’m in my 50’s with dry skin,, so the subtle shine this cream gives is perfect for my skin. Plus, it’s luxurious to put on the skin, very hydrating. Folks who don’t want that touch of shimmer, this is not the cream for you, but for others looking for moisture and a glow, it’s really great.

I have read some of these reviews and I can't believe it! They are crazy to think that this is not a fantastic product! I have been using this product for years and hope that you never discontinue it! I don't buy it to remove dark spots, I use it because it makes my skin look radiant!! Everyone asks me what I use on my face..then they buy it and love it too! I use it on my face, arms, and legs. wherever it is applied, it makes it shine and improves the look of the skin!!! It has a tiny bit of shimmery to the skin, which I love!!!!! It is a great sunscreen also! I can't find it lately and buy all I can find..mostly at Wal Mart. Please don't change this product because of all these crazy reviews. But I do suggest that you don't call it a dark spot remover, as it isn't, but what I use it for, it is the best I have found!!

The Shine Tells All

I purchased this product because I think L'Oreal is a relatively good brand, and it had SPF which was paramount for me. I was seeking SPF protection and some help with a couple of dark spots, and was actually quite enthusiastic to try this product because it is advertised as addressing both of those concerns.
I'd like to start off on a good note here.
I like the texture and creaminess of the product, and a little truly goes a long way. There is minimal fragrance, and it has a broad spectrum SPF of 30. I have only used it for 3 weeks, and any dark spot correcting is not noticeable at this point.
Sadly that is where the "pros" end for me.
The shine from this product makes my skin look like I used a silver highlighter all over my face. When I used it the first time I assumed it would take a few minutes to simmer down. I did not wear makeup (teleworking from home as it were), but by noon the first day I had to swipe a powder over my face to tame down the shine. The slivery sheen this moisturizer leaves is not an attractive look for anyone.
This is not a product I am able to use without a foundation or powder over the top, and I found it emphasized any and all wrinkles, even the very minor ones. I have dry skin and did not find the moisturizer seeped into my skin, but sat on top, and the shine was only minimally diminished by the application of foundation and powder.

Feels great, does nothing

I have an olive complexion and never used sunscreen for the first half of my life, so now I have a number of dark spots I am trying to correct and mitigate with daily sunscreen. For 2 full months, I used this product every day, along with Loreal's Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Illuminator Serum (2x day) and not a single one of my dark spots has lightened. Super disappointed, and also surprised that Loreal does not offer an empty bottle guarantee. Maybe because they know it doesn't work?

Disappointed with L’Oréal

I have been a loyal customer for years with hair, makeup and skin products. I’ve been using the dark spot corrector for 7 months just hoping one day I’d look in the mirror and they will have started to fade-away even a little bit I would have been happy, not to mention that it leaves my face feeling and looking greasy.

Smells like Ajax or Comet.

The smell is stifling, I walk around smelling Ajax all day. I feel like a should clean the bathroom with it (only because of the smell). I don't really like the way it makes my face feel. It said give it 4 weeks I did, dark spot was still there. I did buy the RoseyTone also, I'll see how that works. Will not buy again.

I've been using the product for 2 months and I love the texture of it. leaves the skin well moisturized and radiant, but it did not soften my spine spots that I have, so I do not think it fully complies with what was described on the packaging, because it was for this reason that I bought it.

not so great. didn't live up to the label claim

I used this religiously for 6 weeks, didn't miss a day. Nothing has changed, not even a tiny bit. My darkspot looks exactly the same. Checked the ingredient and couldn't tell it apart from regular sunscreen. I can find some better sunscreen with higher SPF for much cheaper.

I have been using this product for a few years and I love it. I am 67yrs old and most of the creams recommended for my age are way too oily for my skin. This product is wonderful, not oily and my dark spots have faded since using it. I cannot find it in the stores anymore and have had to shop the internet. Please DO NOT discontinue this product, I have not found any other product that is as good as this one and that includes you "aging product". I am hoping I can purchase this product from you web site and it won't be discontinued there also.

I've been using this product for close to 5 years and suddenly it's disappeared, no there cream is giving me the same effect. Please tell me how can I buy it and why did you discontinue it ?

I love using LOreal products all the time. Recently I want to working on the dark spots on my both sides of face. So I am trying both dark spots corrector serum and day cream. The serum is fine, but the day cream with spf30 always balling off my skin no matter how I put on my face. Could you help me solve this problem?

Hi joyy! Thank you for trying our products! We recommend after applying the serum to wait until it is completely absorbed into your skin. Then apply a thin layer of the day cream. Hope this helps!

Please do not discontinue! I can't find this in the stores any more and it has changed my life! I love this formula. I have dark spots all over my face since my pregnancy and this has made them almost disappear. I had tried all types of formulas for years and nothing worked except this. Please keep around!

Very disappointed!

I bought this product because it said was a dark spot corrector and would see results in four weeks. It has been 6 and have seen no changes and I have been very faithful. It was expensive and claims are not correct. I love other Loreal products so was surprised and disappointed in this one.

I am using Youth code from 2013 but this is the worst I bought it seems . I used to by Youth code from India with black cap , that used to be perfect , but this is more greasy , not sure how I will get replacement for same.

Please tell me you are NOT discontinuing this product!!! Please L'Oréal!! I can't find it anywhere on store shelves anymore and I used to be able to get it almost anywhere - Walgreens Target etc. - I LOVE this formula - the smell and more importantly the way it makes your skin glow!!!! I use it day and night and the SPF is an added bonus! I'm always complimented on my skin and this product has a lot to do with that! Please keep this around always!!!!! I'm having to order from your site and I'm out :( - it needs to be on store shelves again! Please!!!
