BURNS THE FACE!! I agree with some other reviews. I used to like this moisturizer for my face but they changed something in it. And now I just opened a new container and put it on my face and it immediately started burning!!! I had to rinse it off IMMEDIATELY!!

I'm writing today to say good-bye. I've been using Hydra-renewal since 1980. I've probably used hundreds of containers. I was very happy to be able to buy this face cream for so many years. But then you changed the formula. The white, creamy product changed to grey, slimy, and smelly. You really should change the name to something else. Last fall I found a new product that is just as good as your old formula. I'm happy again.

Horrible. Made my face and eyes swell! After 3 days I had to stop using.

I recently purchased this product and its unnaturally sticky and it burns my skin. like the tingling feeling, i don't think that is suppose to do that and leaving me with bumps!. Ugh, well into the trash it goes. smh.

Bought this product for the first time because it says it hydrates the skin. Seconds after applying it, I started to feel this burning sensation. Plus I don't like the sticky feeling it leaves on my face and hands after applying it.

My mature skin is very dry and super sensitive. This moisturizer leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth without irritating it. Works wonders!

It plumps, but it stays sticky. No matter how long i wait, i have to blot my face with a tissue (even an hour after application!) in order to put on my makeup ☹️. And even then, there are days it pills when I apply my powder foundation. I will continue using it at night, but I won’t buy it again. (I was using it before, because the Neutragena product was a gel that did the same thing this revamped formula does.

I have used Loreal Hydra Renewal Cream for years and years. It was very moisturizing and made my skin translucent! Now with the new gel formula, my skin looks older and drier. Please bring back the original!

I think L’Oréal Hydra renewal is good overall. I’ve been using it for about 4 years now. My skin likes anything with hyaluronic acid for moisturizing. I do want to warn others about the alcohol content. It seems like it has a lot of alcohol which can dry skin and kind of counteract with the moisturizer. If you have a blemish on your face and use this, it WILL burn.

This is the most Hydrating product I've ever used. The moisture improvement lasts for days especially during travel or stress. This is my rescue cream that I can barely find to buy. Please provide more.

I used this product for the first time and after applying it I felt my skin burning. I'm not sure if this is common, an allergy or what.

I've used the OLD formula for about 20 years. Even favored over my Estee Lauder. NOTHING compares to it. The fragrance was perfected for sensitive skin (which I have scars ect, that irritate easily) hydration was perfect and how it dried was PERFECT under my makeup. The new formula is gel like, not hydrating at all, and the fragrance is HORRID and overwhelming to say the least. Please bring back the old stuff! Please! Look this product up everywhere online and read others testimonies! You'll see! You had a great thing. My skin aged so well because of this old formula. I'm now 40, and it's going downhill. Nothing works.

I gave used your Hydra Genius Extra dry skin cream in the little jar with the blue lid for many years!! I love it and my face loves it too!! Where is it? Please bring it back!! The tall bottle with same fragrance is not had rich as the cream!! Please tell me how I can get more!! This cream is nothing like it dnd my skin hates it!! Marilyn H

I cannot believe L’Oréal changed my classic go too cream. It has been reformulated to a more modern gel cream; compared to the beautiful rich dewy cream it was. Now it is more sticky and does not make my skin at all feel hydrated. If your oily or combo, you may like it. It is light and a gel, with a lighter weight formula. I have used this cream as a I go too since 1991. It has always been there for me as a wonderful hydrating cream in the winter or when I need extra moisture; for years. At a wonderfully nice price. I get that L’Oréal brands are updating for new clean efficiency but come on!!! Give me a break. Don’t mess up at least one classic cream): at least give us two options L’Oréal! A classic and the new reformulated. Also, you need to say it’s reformulated on the packaging. That is not fair to us that we purchase it, thinking to expect our holy grail. And then it’s just another classic example that companies think we are oblivious to changes in makeups, skincare and body products! We know when you change things, just by touching it!! We are not that naïve! I love your products and have always supported the brand. At least give us consumers options before you decide to make things, we didn’t sign up for!

I use this for moisturizing, especially my eye area. It's the only one that keeps my older dryer eye are moisturized all day & I use it at night. I like it. I used the older version & I use this version both are good.

I have been using this product for many years and loved it until L'Oreal changed the formula. As so many others have stated, instead of being the rich creamy moisturizer that was absorbed into the skin immediately, this new product is gel-like in consistency, has a strong smell and leaves a sticky residue on the face and fingers after applying it. I have searched in vain for jars of the "old" formula but cannot find it in stores or online. Please bring it back!

This product is absolutely amazing and you cannot beat the price. I have very dry skin and while I switch out other items (like serums and oils) in my routine, the HydraRenewal I cannot live without and is my #1 staple item. This is the only moisturizer that can be used on young (25) skin that deeply hydrates while staying light. Other moisturizers I’ve tried have been too heavy, but this leaves my skin illuminated and glowy without a heavy feel. I use it morning and night along with the matching Eye Defense both of which also have clean classy glass packaging. Buy this today, it will change you life.
