Hi Shetex! Thanks for reaching out to us regarding Never Fail™ Eyeliner. We can see how you would be upset if you could not sharpen this product. This can be sharpened in a eye pencil sharpener. We like our: Infallible Eye Makeup Pencil Sharpener. We are glad you love these amazing shades but we're sorry you are having a hard time sharpening them. This new generation of gel liners provides great color payoff but needs a gentle touch to sharpen successfully. For best results, insert the pencil into a good cosmetic pencil sharpener no more than 1/4 of an inch. If you push the pencil too far into the sharpener, the blade will grab too much and become difficult to sharpen. The goal is to shave off the resin in a thin curl to reveal more liner. The pencil should be sharpened frequently so that 3 or 4 gentle turns are sufficient to achieve the desired result. Replace sharpener when the blade has dulled and no longer sharpens smoothly. We are so happy to hear that you love this liner. Despite the plastic-coated appearance of the Eyeliner, it can be sharpened with a cosmetic sharpener. Our L'Oréal Dual Sharpener would be a great product to use! For best results, turn the pencil gently in the sharpener 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. Your sharpener should be replaced whenever the blade has dulled and is no longer giving the expected results. Hi there! Thanks for using our Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner. This liner has a built in sharpener on the opposite end of the pencil! Remove the sharpener and use it to sharpen the tip of the pencil when it becomes dull. We hope you give it a try soon!

For a traditional pencil liner we suggest you try our Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof, Up to 24HR Pencil Eyeliner, which sharpens with a sharpener. We hope this helps!

Hi there Jozie! We're sorry to hear you can't use your liner. If you have the Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof, Up to 24HR Pencil Eyeliner, this liner is sharpened using a makeup pencil sharpener. Despite the resin outer pencil, this new generation of gel based liner can be sharpened just like a traditional wooden pencil. Use a gentle touch when sharpening and don't push the pencil with any force into the sharpener. If you're using the Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner, this liner does swivel up, but the first time may take 20 or more turns to bring the swivel pin up to meet the liner.
