Voluminous Lash Primer

I’ve used this for years, but I’m now switching to another brand. It used to be fantastic, but now there’s barely any product in the tube, and I end up throwing it away after only a few uses. I thought maybe I had a bad batch, but this has now happened several times.

So disappointed. Used to but this product and it worked great. Since the beginning of this year something is different -The tubes have literally NO product in them. Im on my 8th one -all from different locations and same thing. A long time user of Loreal and no more.

The tube of this product was basically empty so you might as well buy something else because there's nothing in this tube

The eyelash primer was my go to for great primer coverage. As with some of the other reviews, I too have noticed that the last 2 that I purchased from Target appeared to be dry...nothing coating the eyelash brush. I just opened a new one today and there is hardly anything in it. I am not sure what is going on with this product, but I will not be purchasing it ever again. On to tracking down a better primer, that will actually give you the product that you paid for. Very frustrating...

0/5 stars if I could. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed a difference! This was an amazing primer, beating out many of the more $$ brands for years. I recently purchased a 2 pack from amazon, which i threw away bc they were awful and i thought they were old and dried out due to long distribution cycle. I purchased another tube from Target thinking it would be better, and unfortunately it is not. Don't waste your money...I might as well not even use primer at all with the way this functions. Starting my search for a new primer.

I don’t know what happened. I usually buy in 4 ata time and since I used my old ones I bought 4 new ones and they are garbage. They just plain don’t work. I’m crushed. I used to be able to create these magic eyelashes out of my short ones and now it just looks like nothing. I’m heartsick. I know it’s been a while since I purchased but now I have 4 that I just want to pitch I. The garbage. I’m so sad, what happened?

Have used this product or Lancôme’s product for YEARS. the last tube from L’Oréal was difficult to apply and took way to long to get the coverage. Very disappointing and would not recommend.

I would give zero stars if I could! Trying this for the first time straight out of the package, and the tube was EMPTY. Loreal, you have some explaining to do! :(

I'm another one that has been using the Voluminous Primer for YEARS! What happened??? I just opened the first tube of the new packaging with the gold band and I'm assuming it's a new formula. Nothing close to the results I had with the old product. I don't know what has changed, but I used to get asked often what mascara I used because my lashes were unreal. None of my mascara performed as well as it did the the old Voluminous Primer. It looked like I had lash extensions and volume out the wazoo. It definitely doesn't coat as well or build as well as before. I would say that the old version was like a push up bra for your eye lashes, bigger, better, right where they should be. The new version is sort of like wearing a bralette. It's there, but it isn't doing anything. I know it's not an overnight process, but L'Oreal....you gotta bring back the O.G. I used this faithfully, even put it up against Lancome Definicils Primer back in the day. No comparison.

I ordered this along with a mascara from you. I ordered through Amazon. I immediately tried to use both of them and they were both dried out.

This was by far the best eyelash primer on the market. The new formula is absolutely terrible and does not work at all. I have been looking at different stores in hopes of finding the older formula (without the gold stripe on top). I have gotten lucky a few times, but in hopes of the corporation converting back to the old formula I decided to write a review. I see there are many others that feel the same way.

I’m crying! Why did you change a fantastic formula?!?! This used to be the best and now it’s utter rubbish. I’ve used this for ages as my holy grail. Now I’m on the hunt. And the Lash Paradise primer changed, so that’s out. And did you also change the Double Extend’s primer side? I recently bought it again after years of not, and it’s rubbish as well. Incredibly sad and frustrated.

Well unfortunately I threw away the box before reading the directions. I applied it like I do my mascara thought I had to let it dry and then I went back to try to put my mascara on. It was very difficult to put my mascara on because my lashes were hard and crunchy. Then I googled the product and read you are only supposed to do one eye with the primer then apply the mascara then repeat with the other eye. Will come back and review again when I apply it right.

Been using this for decades. It makes whatever mascara you use 10xbetter.

Wonderful primer makes your thin lashes thick and healthy looking. Mascara applies easily over it.

I started using this when I was going through chemo and radiation 5.5 years ago. I lost almost all of my eyelashes and plain mascara only emphasized the fact that my lashes were a mess!! When I started using this, it made my eyes look so much better!! As my eyelashes began to grow back, I noticed this appeared to also add length to my lashes. Now I use it to tame my curly eyelashes (that's how they grew back after my 2 years of cancer treatments) and to keep that added volume going! 1 or 2 swipes and then mascara and my eye lashes look long, thick and most importantly, NATURAL!

Absolutely love this! It not only amplifies my lashes; it helps prevent the mascara from flaking and smearing. I appreciate that it comes off easily when I'm ready.

A must before mascara application! Makes lashes look super full & long!

This primer and luminous mascara have changed my lash life! I have very thin sparse lashes and with the primer and mascara I now have long lush lashes! I'm forever changed and grateful to these products! Thank you Lo'real!!!!!

I bought this and was excited because I have used primers before but the only problem is I curl my lashes first and because it isnt waterproof it caused my lashes to go straight..please make this in waterproof formula as well..

Wiped off the lash brush left a little bit of the primer on and it’s still left clumps all over my lashes not very pretty therefore caused the mascara to be extra extra clumpy I do not recommend this product whatsoever

I’ve never really been into using eyelash primer and just only used mascara. Thanks to Influenster for this complimentary L’Oreal voluminous lash primer! This is now a new must have for me and a staple in my everyday makeup look!

I’ve never used a lash primer before so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. I did like using it however and I feel like it helped when I was putting my mascara on. I will probably buy this again when it runs out.

This really did do a difference to my lashes. They are crazy and go everywhere and when I put this on before my mascara, my lashes just went with it. It looked so good and they even stayed in place all day before they started doing their own thing. RECOMMENDED Complementary from Influenster

This was my first time trying a Lash Primer, so I really don't have anything to compare this to. I feel like this helped lengthen my lashes, but unfortunately it also made them stick together so they looked very clumpy when I applied mascara overtop. I didn't notice enough of a good effect to purchase this in the future.

I've never used lash primer before but was pleasantly shocked. This primer goes on whiteish (which would be great if you wanted to use colored mascara) and help your eyelashes firm and curl so they look a lot longer. Overall I'm very happy with this and would buy it again.

Well I never use lash primer. To me it’s a waste of time & well to me I don’t think it’s necessary in my makeup routine. It was nice. It gave my lashes more length.

I think this lash primer was perfect. I was not smelly nor sticky and help enlarge my lashes. The brush was perfect and easy to use. I would really recomend this product.

I am have never been the type of girl to buy primers and i have always struggled in finding a good mascara that stays put and doesn't run. Trust me i have tried them all! I was recommended to use the primer as a base to help the mascara stick. So far, its been month and i have tried it with every single mascara i own (even the ones i used to hate) and all have resulted smudge free! I definitely recommend this product to go with any mascara

This was my first lash primer, so it is hard to know what to compare it to. However, I liked the product and will continue to use it!
