Voluminous Noir Balm Washable Mascara

Loreal voluminous mascara has been the Only one I have used for almost 8 years. The new "washable" are not. They don't come off with my cleanser, which was always the case. I need 3 plus pads of make- up remover. Also It does not give me the thick lashes it used to. I have tried another "new" one and have the same problem. Go BACK to your old formula

First brown mascara that truly looks brown! It is helping my eyelashes grow and stay healthy. Please do not quit making this - it is the best.

I have bought Voluminous for years. There must have been a formula change because my last 2 have been so different. I can’t get the mascara off easily with makeup remover. The bottle dries out faster. So sad. Now I need to find a new brand.

I found my holy grail mascara. I've been looking for a mascara that's clean, that volumizes, defines, and lengthens. I found it with this. I never would have guessed that L'Oreal made this mascara, when it feels like one of their high end competitors. There's no fragrance that hits you, and the wand is the perfect size, its not SUV sized and it isn't so small that you can barely see it. The formula is more of a balm, and didn't go on clumpy or goopy. The product didn't come out clumpy or goopy, and just glided on effortlessly. I put it on when I got home, and all I can say is Wow! The package says it lengthens and volumizes lashes, and boy, does it deliver! I will definitely purchase this again.

The brown balm mascara is perfect for my makeup no makeup days! It separates my lashes to perfection! It doesn’t flake & looks super natural! I especially love it on my lower lashes. It’s the only thing I’ll use on the lower lashes ever! The formula is not sticky at all and there is no lash fall out! I need to keep all the lashes I can! I curl my lashes first & then apply the balm mascara. It hold the curl and doesn’t transfer. Some say there is too much product on the wand. I haven’t experienced this, but it’s easy enough to gently scrap the wand against the opening of the tube if need be. I do this with most of my mascaras honestly. It’s also wise to warm the mascara in your bra or waistband of pants before application. It warms up the wax and gives you that smooth, clean swipe every time! I love love love this balm mascara! I think I’ll try it in my brows? I love a good two in one for traveling…..Anyway, you really do want this my friend. It’s some kind of wonderful. Btw… I received nothing for this review. I just love this mascara so much that I need others to follow suit. I want to be able to buy this indefinitely!

I always purchase L'oreal products, and they have consistently been a great value and at a reasonable price. I have been extremely disappointed with this particular product, and wish I had read the reviews before the purchase. Like many of these reviews stated, the mascara flaked off within an hour of application and within a few hours I resembled a "raccoon"! So disappointed and after reading the response to this complaint, I realized L'oreal was well aware of this problem. If the product needs primer to work correctly, this should have been clearly printed on the packaging. I will be wary of purchasing this brand of mascara again.

L'oreal!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this product! I love it so much, but there is way TOO much product on the wand when pulled out of the case. There is very little "grip" on the wand that pulls product off when taking it out of the case, so the wand is too loaded with product, and I have to take a tissue and wipe a bunch of it off. It's such a great product, I hate to keep wasting it.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing something new, as I have used another Voluminous mascara for years and years. After curling my lashes, the Noir Balm seems to straighten them right back. It looks awful when trying to apply a 2nd coat. There is no VOLUME! Flakes off quickly, and not just a few flakes! Waste of money and it's a NO from me.

I love the length of this product but it doesn’t stay on long it flakes off fast.

this is the best mascara I have. Gives me great volume, makes my lashes soft and full, doesn’t flake, or smudge, and is gentle and beautiful on my 50 year old eyes. I especially love the brown, which is a rich, deep brown, as opposed to so many browns, which are a little washed out. I also have the black and love it. Please never stop making this.

I bought this mascara thinking it was brown but IT IS NOT. Even though it says it is brown it’s not. Very sad.

I bought the brown shade and it is NOT brown. I put it on a kleenex next to my old brown tube of a different brand to confirm the colors. My old brand is very brown. My new Loreal brown balm mascara is black on the kleenex as looks on my lashes. Loreal...is this suppose to be a true brown or a brown black? If it is suppose to be a true brown, then I got a bad product with the wrong color. I can not wear brown black either. I need a true brown mascara. I tried this because it contains good ingredients and I like the wand. I purchased from CVS.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. This product did not meet my expectations at all. There was no volume and after two layers my lashes looked horrible. And just as others mentioned, it flaked off and was mostly gone by the end of the day.

I saw the brown color and as a Redhead with blonde lashes I was SO excited. I thought the texture was great, very smooth and looked great when I first put it on. But after like 30 minutes it was already flaking and under my eyes. Really love the other voluminous lash products or lash paradise but couldn’t find a brown in stock.

Absolutely horrible fallout. It looks really pretty when I first apply it, but it flakes off within the hour. Went out for a quick dinner, and looked like a raccoon by the end of it.

Easy to separate ever lash. Buildable. Love this.

When it first goes on it looks SO good, nice and curled upward. Within a couple hours my lashes totally fall on the tips and I have flakes all under my eyes and on my cheeks. Won’t be buying again- sticking to the original voluminous

Bought this because of the Balm. First use went on perfectly and was very pleased but next time, it was clumpy. I couldn't even separate lashes by wiggling the spoolie. Product also began to migrate below my eyes, like a fine dust, not flakes. Had to check periodically and clean up under eye area. Tried two more days and retuned to CVS

I can't believe the reviews on this product! It is gorgeous packaging and made my lashes look better than they ever have, but literally TWO HOURS later, I went to the bathroom and was all on my cheeks. I have never had a mascara just fall off my lashes like that. Never. I was so embarrassed. I wiped it off my face with a towel, but when I checked later, even more had fallen onto my cheeks. I can't believe that this ever went to market with wear like this.

I wanted to love this product. It is the only mascara that I can find that is BROWN. Not Black/Brown. Just BROWN. And it looks great, when I apply it. But after a few hours, it is GONE. Re-apply? No time, no mirror.

This product is my absolute lease favorite mascara. It flakes within minutes of putting it on ! Never again!

I like this mascara - it's super smooth and definitely balmy, and it feels nourishing. The brush and formula keep my lashes separated and relatively un-clumped and my lashes look beautiful. The problem: after just a few hours of wear, it really flakes off. I don't put it on my lower lashes or wear any sort of primer, eye shadow, eyeliner, or eye cream, but somehow there are always mascara flakes in my lower lashes and lower eyelid. I'm also not rubbing my eyes, wearing sunglasses too close to my lashes, wearing it while working out or on a hot summer day, etc., so it seems to dry out to the point that it flakes off after a few hours. The regular Voluminous I usually use doesn't do this, so I will go back to that.

First of all, THANK YOU! I’m so happy to find a Brown mascara. It’s a welcome change from all the black. This is a great mascara,it goes on smoothly, lasts a long time and makes my green eyes pop.

I just bought and tried this yesterday. It caught my eye in the display because according to the tube, it looked actually BROWN not brown-black, or so dark it might as well be black. I'm always excited to see a non-black mascara, they are so hard to find! Other than the color, the formula is superb. Very lengthening and volumizing with just a couple swipes. Does not smear or flake. Best mascara I've tried in many years!

I purchased only a few days ago but am already on love the brush is a soft rubber type with many bristles great for my thin blonde lashes I can see my lashes they look flawless and beautiful thank Loreal

I ran out of my Thrive Causemetics mascara and grabbed this thinking "balm" would have a slightly shiny, smooth application (thinking lip balm). It goes on easily and feels soft and light. It does quickly crumble, but it did not leave smears after sleeping in it (by accident). I do prefer Clinique's High Impact for volume; it only crumbles off the lash after two months or so of using a tube; and Thrive which has a sheen, lengthening, and long-lasting wear.
