Festival season is upon us—and that means it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to wear. It’s not picking out a super-cute outfit—you’re probably going to want to make sure your makeup and hairstyle are on-point, too. But have you given much thought to your hair color? This year, stand out from the crowd at your next festival by temporarily changing up your hair color with our L’Oréal Paris Colorista 1-Day Sprays. Our temporary hair color sprays come in 10 on-trend shades, including rose gold, hot pink, purple, and mint green. Each of our temporary hair color sprays can be used on blonde or brown hair. Of course, it makes sense that the lighter your hair color, the more vibrant your end result will be, so keep that in mind. Try one of the following hair color ideas before heading out to hear your favorite bands perform at a festival.
How to Use Our Colorista 1-Day Sprays
Before we get into our three favorite festival hair color ideas for 2018, allow us to explain exactly how to use our temporary hair color sprays. You’ll be a pro in no time!
Step 1: Grab a towel. Place a towel around your shoulders to protect your clothes—you don’t want to get any hair color on them!
Step 2: Shake the can well. Do this before each use.
Step 3: Spray on your hair color. Hold the can 4-6 inches away from dry hair and spray.
Step 4: Wait. Let your hair color dry completely for a few minutes before going about your day.
If you’re opting for all-over hair color, then you may need to use more than one can. When you’re ready to remove your hair color, all you have to do is hop in the shower and shampoo it out. It’s really that simple!
Hair Color Idea #1: Stencil
Now that you know how to use our temporary hair color sprays, it’s time to have some fun before you hit up your next festival. One of the easiest ways to create an alluring look is to use a stencil. All you have to do is draw the design on a piece of paper, cut the design out, lay the paper against your hair, and spray color onto the design. When it comes to designs, the possibilities are endless! It’s up to you. You can also try this out on game day—create a stencil of your team’s initials to show off your team pride. As far as colors go, silver can’t be beat for this one—but again, it’s up to you to decide which shade to use.
Hair Color Idea #2: Unicorn Hair
Is there any pairing that goes better than unicorn hair and festivals? We think not. Unicorn hair was one of the biggest hair color trends of 2017—and it shows no signs of slowing down in 2018. You can get the look by using our temporary hair color sprays in hot pink, pastel blue, and pastel lavender. Spray them onto your hair from mid-lengths to ends for an ombré effect. Since purple is the it color of 2018, use your pastel lavender spray the most, with little pops of pastel blue and hot pink here and there.
Hair Color Idea #3: Blue Ends + Space Buns
One of the most of-the-moment hairstyles you can sport at a festival is space buns—pair that with a bright hair color and all eyes will be on you as you listen to outdoor jams. Start by spraying on hair color (for this look, we recommend blue to create an other-worldly appeal). Once you’re done spraying on your color, create your two buns. Finish with a spritz of hairspray and some gold glitter on your cheeks—you’re officially festival-ready!
