WHAT INSPIRED THE DERM INTENSIVES COLLECTION?

The Derm Intensives collection takes what L’Oréal has always done—and does so well—to the next level. L’Oréal's innovation and growth have always been nurtured by the way the brand's strong scientific research is combined with consumer needs. Once again, this collection allows L’Oréal to tap into their expert knowledge of how skin works while incorporating insights from consumers. One piece of consumer feedback in particular was a major source of inspiration when it came to developing Derm Intensives. What was it? This may come as a surprise, but L’Oréal's internal research revealed that 52% of consumers trust a dermatologist most when it comes to their skin care products. Despite this significant percentage, according to Statista, only 4.4% of Americans visited a dermatologist in 2018. That means even though consumers trust derms with their skin care, most are not visiting a derm or receiving their input on the products they're using. And that's where Derm Intensives comes in.

The solution-based skin care series gives consumers access to skin care products validated by dermatologists—without a potentially pricey office visit. The collection provides consumers with what everyone really wants: easy access to amazing products. In brief, Derm Intensives was inspired by a need that had been unfulfilled by the beauty industry: products that combine efficacy, potent ingredients, and an affordable price point. Additionally, an important desire when the collection was being developed was that it could be used by anyone. WHO’S THE PANEL BEHIND DERM INTENSIVES—AND WHAT DID THEY CONTRIBUTE?

The products in the Derm Intensives collection aren't just recommended by dermatologists, L’Oréal went a step further and gave access to an advisory panel of highly respected dermatologists to go behind the scenes and validate the products. The panel includes five dermatologists who were selected based on their deep skin care expertise, unique backgrounds, and credibility. These dermatologists audited and validated the Derm Intensives collection, doing their part to make it the best it could be by dissecting testing protocols and results from independent clinical research facilities. WHAT SKIN CARE PRODUCTS ARE PART OF THE DERM INTENSIVES COLLECTION?

L’Oréal Paris Revlitalift Derm Intensives 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum: This 10% pure glycolic acid serum, which also contains aloe, leaves skin clarified to reveal radiant skin and a renewed complexion. The aloe is really key here; thanks to its soothing properties, it helps make the serum suitable for daily use. The serum also has a formula that absorbs quickly, doesn’t feel greasy, and won’t clog pores. After two weeks of using the resurfacing serum daily, dark spots are visibly improved, and within four weeks, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.

How to use it: Apply four to five drops to clean, dry skin every evening. Follow with the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal Brightening Dual Overnight Moisturizer. L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum: This intensive hydrating 1.5% pure hyaluronic acid serum (a scientifically formulated blend of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid) helps replenish moisture for plumped, youthfully supple skin with bounce. This 1.5% concentration is key, as skin cannot absorb more than 2%. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly with no tacky feel or residue. Immediately, hydration is deeply replenished and skin looks smoother. With continued use, skin looks younger, feels firmer, and glows with moisture. After only two weeks of use, wrinkles appear visibly reduced.

And no, you don’t have to worry about the serum immediately losing its stability—it’s formulated without water and comes in a protectively sealed, airtight metal tube to help maximize potency and stability. The facial serum effortlessly glides onto skin, leaving it with a velvety soft feel and powerfully radiant look. After one week, skin will be bright and more vibrant. After two weeks, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.

HOW TO USE THE DERM INTENSIVES LINE TOGETHER

To use the three serums in a routine together, here’s what to do: Apply either the glycolic acid or hyaluronic acid serum first—as they have similar consistencies—then follow up with the vitamin C serum.
