Okay this is a long review, but y'all. It's worth it!
I have long, thick but very fine hair and I have always had trouble with getting my hair to hold a curl. And by trouble, I mean the curls always fall out regardless of the amount of product I use. Although this L'Oreal product is designed for straightening hair, the fibralock technology had me intrigued and wondering whether it would be suitable for curling as well. Since I use my flat iron to curl my hair, I decided to give this product a try. Let me tell you...
I am SO happy I took a chance with this because IT WORKS!! I've been using this product for almost a year now and I have never been disappointed with the results. I can style my hair into any size/shape curls, regardless of the weather, and I am never worried about the curls falling out. AMAZING! My hair stays so silky and smooth. I still can't believe how well the curls hold without being crunchy in the least! AND if I don't feel like washing my hair the next morning, I just don't! Next-day touch-ups are a breeze.
A few things I've noticed:
1.....I follow the directions on the bottle & try to stay on the conservative side with application, because too much product at the roots tends to make my fine hair appear a bit greasy.
2.....Use of hairspray seems to negate the effects of the "fibralock" technology. I've only tried pairing with Tresemme hairspray thus far, but the results were terrible so I've been reluctant to try any others.
3.....If excess spray is allowed to land on the floor, whether tile or carpeted, the result is a very slippery floor especially after it's dry! To combat this, I've resorted to pouring a nickel- or quarter-sized amount into my palm, rubbing between both hands, and working into my hair that way.
Also, if anyone on the PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM (ahem!) is listening, an updated package that replaces the spray nozzle with a glass dropper would be an excellent change!! :) (something similar to what Frizz-Ease used many years ago.)

bring back Boost It Blow Out

I am so disappointed that this is L'oreals recommended (on the site) replacement for the Boost It Blow Out Heatspray. The Blow Out Heatspray was amazing. I have fine hair but a decent amount of it and the discontinued product was great for protecting and adding thickness. I have used many Heatspray protectors and this one was by far the best if you wanted body as well. Others left my hair flat. This Sleek It product might be good for some but definitely not a replacement for the Boost It protectant. The Sleek It leaves my hair flat.

I’ve never found anything that will work on my frizzy curly/straight hair until I found this product! Every other product no matter how expensive would leave residue and make my freshly cleaned hair look oily.

I used it on my curly hair as I was straightening it and It worked great but throughout the day it was starting to fizz. I will try it on freshly clean hair next time and see how it will turn out.

I absolutely love this product!! L'oreal please please never get rid of this product. This is the only heat protectant that helps keep my curly, frizzy, damaged hair straight when I blow it out. I've tried higher end heat protectants and other drugstore ones to see if there is anything that can beat the Sleek It Heatspray. I always end up coming back to it because there's nothing like it! 10/10

SO SOFT!

I honestly LOVE this spray! I recently ran out & couldn’t find it at my Target anymore, so I opted for a different brand & let’s just say… it doesn’t compare AT ALL.
This spray instantly makes my hair feel SOFT even before I dry or straighten my hair, & afterwards it still has that soft sleek feel to it, so I know it conditions & helps to detangle, while ALSO protecting from the heat.
I don’t know why I can’t find this at Target anymore, especially since that’s where I originally bought it. Please please please tell me it hasn’t been & isn’t going to be discontinued!!!!

Bring back Boost It Blow Out Heatspray!!!

I bought this product a couple times throughout several years hoping that maybe they would change up the ingredients so that it would actually be comparable to Boost It Blow Out Heatspray. This product is absolutely NOTHING compared to the Boost It Blow Out Heatspray. It is extremely upsetting that Loreal continues to NOT listen to their customers and bring back a product that was so loved. My hair has never been the same since they discontinued the Boost It Blow Out Heatspray. I have had to switch brands and have tried my hardest not to buy Loreal products because of how much distress they’ve caused so many with their discontinuing of Boost It Blow Out Heatspray. Please, I ask on behalf of thousands/millions of others, bring back Boost It Blow Out Heatspray. Charge double/triple if you really have to, just bring it back. Listen to your customers!!!

I just bought this today as I was not happy with the heat protectant I was currently using. First of all, the price is a lot better and very affordable. Second, I was thrilled to see it worked so well on my hair, left it shiny and manageable!

Great product but will make your floor slippery

I saw another review talking about floor slippery after using and thought I’d share my experience too. Great product but dangerous to use without carpet. I literally go outside to use it. I have fallen a couple of times when I’ve used it in my bathroom. The floor gets waaay too slick.

I tried the Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray because I could not find my favorite Blow Dry It Quick Dry Primer Spray. The Sleek It Iron Straight Heatspray left my hair feeling dry and like straw and my hair was not shiny at all. My hair also was not any more sleek than if I had not used any product. Please do not discontinue the Blow Dry It Quick Dry Primer Spray which truly left my hair shiny, sleek and soft.

This product makes floors EXTREMELY slippery, as in YOU WILL FALL!! I fell and broke my arm in two places! It does NOT dry, but says slippery until cleaned!

Difficult to use

The sprayer is very awkward to use. In fact I have used this product only about six times and yesterday the spray handle broke off. I've given up trying to fix it.

Bad sprayer

I would give it 5 stars but the sprayer is very awkward to use. Today it actually came apart. I put it back together but it will not spray now. So I have most of a bottle that is now worthless.

The best product!

I am not one to write reviews, but I felt I needed to write one for this product. I have been styling my hair for almost 10 years, and after going through tons of heat protectant brands, this one is my favorite! It smells SO good and it goes on more like a mist compared to a heavy spray. Nonetheless, it still gets the job done. I used it before blow drying my hair this morning at 9:30, didn’t even use it before straightening my hair, and its now 11:24pm and my hair is still almost pin straight!

I live in the south & I live with curly hair. This product is a miracle for me, I can mist my trouble spots and they stay straight & fuzz free for 2-3 days. I also love the heat protection. I used it, ran out & bought 3 more. Called friends and they also went out & bought it. I found mine at CVS, my friends picked their's up at Walmart. I don't know how long this has been on the market but please keep putting it out there for us. I highly recommend.

i bought this product because my i have a hard time getting my hair sleek and straight. overall its really good for heat protection especially since i straighten my hair almost everyday. my hair got a really nice shine but wasnt as sleek as i wanted it to be but I have very frizzy thick hair

This product is amazing.. I spray before straighting with a GHD.. and I have glossy, non greasy, NO Frida, beautiful healthylooking straight hair for 3-4 days.. I wake up and GO.
Only use for straightening not curling and I have my hair out throughout those 3-4 days.

i am sad that you discontinued intense straight perfect balm heat protection.that was the best product ....this sleek it iron is good at protecting hair but it makes hair look dead and oily.... please bring back ultimate straight balm.......if you cannot bring it back atleast suggest me another heat protection spray

ridiculous packaging

I bought a small one of these a few weeks ago for a trip. the ridiculously engineered spray head broke off and got all over my luggage. This time I purchased a larger size for home use. As directed, I squeezed the trigger to break the seal and the whole assembly fell apart. I can't imagine why someone would create such a ridiculous assembly when all it really needs is a simple off the shelf pump bottle. I'm a design engineer and who ever approved this nonsense is an idiot.

It smells reeeally good and made my hair shiny but, it doesn't really help with the frizz and your hair still smells a bit burnt. I have thick wavy/frizzy hair and the next day after straightening it, I woke up with my hair all frizzy, not straight and dry after using the spray. So it did not work for me But, what works or doesn't work for me doesn't mean it wont work for anybody else.

Smells good

This is my favorite heatspray..I tried 3 brands and this is the one I like the most! My hair feels soft, smelling good, sleek and straight after using hair iron and this product, too bad I finished my bottle now, need to buy again..

Not meant for dry styling

This heat protectant spray has a very watery consistency and is definitely not meant for dry styling. It did not make a bit of a difference using this; i'd truly rather use no heat spray than use this.
