Hi there, as someone who has a basic understanding of the ingredients list compounds, I don't see much of a difference in the surfactants used, so I can't imagine it's any different than the original formula. That said, I'm assuming this instruction is because the idea is to keep the last 1/2 of the hair treated and it will be more advantageous/cost-effective to just use on the ends and not worry about the scalp.

Never stop making this, I’m begging

This is what I’ve been looking for my entire life. That sounds dramatic, but it’s true. I’ve never been able to grow hair past my shoulders because it tangles and rips no matter what I try. It’s also SO frizzy and dry, but I have limp roots. I’ve tried everything to try and be more confident with my hair. I don’t remember what made me try this, but I hope they never stop making it. My hair is the longest it’s ever been, tangle-free, and I have frizz-free waves.

interesting product

The product works best for me if i dont follow up with dream lengths mask which is my usual conditioner choice after dream length shampoo. I simply just rinse my hair and blow dry , i do however put teh product on from root to tip unlike the packaging instructs only on lengths.
Im a HUGE Elvive fan my fav is the triple resist range however lately i have struggled to find it in our stores esp in the bigger size bottles. overall this is an interesting product. Im not totally sold on its long term benefits and probably wont spend this much on buying it again and opt for the Elvive mask range instead.

Dried hair. Do not like Strong scent. I would use it if it was not drying and had no scent or smelled like vanilla or fruit.

[Employee of loreal] As an African American woman with transitional hair type, I use this product on my hair and honestly I love it. It get's my hair super straight when I want to wear straight and it last for at least 10 days.

Absolutely One of the best Products

I bought this product back in the summer, looking for something to help my hair with the split ends. I tried this product and after the first wash, i was amazed by the difference in my hair! I have used both 8 second wonder waters and both are outstanding products!!! I have told my friends and family to use this and see the difference in your Hair!

Burns hair and strips it from natural shine, feels like rope now. Try putting water in your hand and pouring a small amount, it heats water in a second, no good for hair!

Hi there Migdalia… We wish you could see the results you were hoping for with the Dream Lengths 8 Second Wonder Water Lamellar Rinse Out. To use, after washing hair with Elvive Dream Lengths shampoo, apply directly to wet hair (not into your hands), only to lengths, avoid the scalp. Massage for 8 seconds, then rinse. Follow with conditioner, then blow dry for optimal shine. Use 1 dose for fine to medium texture. 2-3 doses for thick to wavy texture. Use an extra dose for long hair. You may feel a slight warming sensation when the product activates upon contact with water.

I only bought this as I had a CVS coupon I needed to use.. Best decision ever! This detangles my hair (all 4' of it) and leaves it soft and silky and with a gorgeous sheen. I am seriously impressed with this product.
